In order to comply with the new data protection law that comes into force on May 25th, 2018, I will take all security measures at my disposal to protect the confidentiality of my clients’ data.
I (Jessica Zamora Garrido) will be the one in charge of managing my clients’ personal data, which I will use for the sole purpose of performing the translation, localisation, proofreading or other linguistic services the clients might request of me. I will not use or share the data for any other purposes.
I will only ask my clients to provide the very minimum data needed to perform the linguistic services asked by them and to create the corresponding invoice. In order to perform the services requested I will need a digital copy of the original files, and, if the clients need a sworn translation, I will need to print both the original files and the translation in order to sign, stamp and deliver them.
If the translation needs postal delivery, I will use Correos or other courier services.
If the translation needs postal delivery, I will ask for the clients’ delivery address in order to do so.
I will use the clients’ personal data to create the corresponding invoice as per Hacienda’s (Spanish tax office) requirements. A tax advisor helps me with invoicing and taxes-related duties.
I will keep both the original files and the translation for archiving purposes and in order to be able to review or consult them if need be in the future. I will also keep and archive the invoices as per Hacienda’s (Spanish tax office) requirements.
If the clients wish for me to delete their personal data after completion of the linguistic services or to limit the management of the data in any way, they only have to let me know and I shall comply immediately.
